When you go on the Internet, you’ll find many photographic trips to the Island of Cuba. If you’re interested in shutter speeds, aperture, depth-of-field and 1950 automobiles, there are many excursions that will fit that criteria.   Ours is more than this.

Both JoAnne and myself have been going to Cuba for 2 decades.  This may be our last 2 trips.  We are licensed through the TREASURY Department to do People to People excursions and we take that license seriously. We would like everyone that travels with us to experience Cuba in a way they will remember forever. Cubans are beautiful, hard-working people. They are the most educated, Spanish speaking people on the planet.  They love to engage in, in-depth conversations with Americans as they seem to truly admire Americans and the USA.  They are inquisitive and certainly not shy.

That’s the good news… Because of their socialist system, each member of their society makes roughly $28 a month whether they are bakers, doctors or lawyers.  They always seem to find ingenious ways to supplement this income. Their children are similar to our children and I know for sure the boys certainly love baseball. What we take for granted such as a baseball, cooking spices, over the counter medications, and yes things as simple as toothpaste are a luxury to the majority of Cuban people.

This trip will mainly be about seeing the Cuban people from the inside out.  and, of course, the many photographic opportunities we will have when we are there. You will have an opportunity to learn many tips from two internationally known photographers on this trip and improve your photographic skills greatly.  Cuba is about a lot more than old refurbished cars, and casinos.  Arts and culture flourish in Cuba, because art is taken very seriously and is something to be proud of.  There is excellent music, dancing and art wherever you go. We feel our program will help you understand how lucky we are to live in the greatest Country in the world, the United States of America.  When you return back to the states you will have a greater understanding of what we truly have and hopefully you will pass along the generosity of spirit and what you learned about the Cuban people.  They certainly do not deserve what they’ve been put through over the years. If you’re looking for a unique travel and humanitarian experience, we’d like you to consider joining us.
